About Fees
Initial visit: $110
At your first visit, we will review your main issues as well as family and personal history, and answer any questions that you have. Your first treatment, including acupuncture and herbal consultation if desired, will then follow. Your first visit will take about 90 minutes.
Follow-up visits: $80
We will evaluate the progress of your condition and you will receive appropriate treatment based on the diagnosis. Treatments are always based on your condition on the day of your visit, with modifications made to address any changing symptoms. Expect to spend at least 60 minutes.
Herbal consultation only: $30
Without acupuncture, discuss your concerns and design a customized herbal remedy. Expect this consultation to take 20-30 minutes.
Payment due at time of service
Please note that payment is due at the time of service. Cash or check is always preferred, but if that is not convenient, I am able to process any credit or debit cards.
About insurance
So far, I have not seen any Louisiana insurance that actually covers my services. Blue Cross of Texas and Federal Blue Cross both have plans that do. While Medicare has begun to cover acupuncture for chronic low back pain that meets certain criteria, they have not yet recognized licensed acupuncturists as approved providers. (Tell your representatives to support the "Acupuncture For Our Seniors Act"!) I don't file insurance, but I can provide an invoice that should have all the information you need to request reimbursement from your insurance provider if your plan covers it.
